Purchase: Rifle Scopes Leupold is a well known US Manufacturer of Rifle Scopes - - The Dream Optics for hunting. The Ultimate dream - a Leupold Scope on a Weatherby Weather-Guard Rifle. I purchased my Leupold Scope On-line from Cabelas for $239.
Things I like about the Leupold VARI-XII 3-9X40 mm Matte Duplex Cross Hairs Rifle Scopes: I like the Leupold Mount System (which I also purchased from Cabelas). I like the Matte finish. I like the clear optics. I like the Duplex Crosshairs. The thing that I like the most is the excellent eye-relief (4.5 inches I believe). This is more than any other Manufacturer. This takes away the fear of recoil of a High-power Rifle (no more bruises to the eye). With the scope, Leupold also furnishes a cleaning pen to clean the optics which protects the coating of the optics.
What I don't like about the Leupold VARI-XII 3-9X40 mm Matte Duplex Cross Hairs: Being a long-time user of Rifle Scopes, I did not find anything that I disliked about this scope.

VARI-XII 3-9X40 mm Matte Duplex Cross Hairs summary: I am a Retired Industrial Engineer with many years experience as a Quality Control Manager as well as a Process Development Engineer. I was very impressed with the Unit that I purchased and have used for approx. four (4) years. (I killed a nice six (6) point white-tail buck the first day that I used it hunting). I have highly recommended this unit to all of the people that I have come in contact with.
