Things I like about the Magellan Platnium: The display is more readable than I had expected.
What I don't like about the Magellan Platnium: I'm unable to connect to enough satallites to get a location about 1/3 of the time. This might be that I live and hunt in Colorado, but it's very frustrating.
Platnium quality: Solid rubber housing. The "water tight" battery panel is doubious.
Platnium summary: I don't think I would have bought this GPS unit if I could have tried it in the woods first.
