Slick Trick 100 grain Broadhead Broadheads
Broadheads Manufacturer: Slick Trick
Slick Trick Model: 100 grain Broadhead
Review Category: Broadheads
Purchase: I acquired this broadhead from the manufacturers web site. I paid $20 for a package of three (3)
Things I like about the Slick Trick 100 grain Broadhead: The broadheads were easy to assemble, though fitting them together could result in getting cut. A tool for assembly might be nice. The broadheads shot like bullets the first time. No additional tuning to my bow was necessary and the broadheads grouped exactly with my field points.
What I don't like about the Slick Trick 100 grain Broadhead: The squat short profile of the design was hard to get used to. The blades were not as sharp as they could be and the threaded part that goes down into the insert of the arrow seemed a little weak. I did break one broadhead off at this point on a missed deer shot. I have never had this happen with any other broadhead I have used. However, I did harvest three deer with these broadheads and they performed very well.
100 grain Broadhead quality: Other than the thinness of the unit where it assemble into the arrow as mentioned above and the sharpness the broadheads were nothing short of phenomenal. They flew great. They seemed durable, again, except for the one mentioned above. I believe that since this is the first production run that these broadheads will get nothing but better.
100 grain Broadhead summary: I have been bowhunting for 35 years and never found any broadhead that flew as well as these. On the three deer that I did shoot they penetrated well and did a great job of internal damage. Being their first year in production I am anticapating them to improve on blade sharpness and strength. I will be using the 125 gr. model next year for sure.
