Phantom #4125/ 4-Blade, 125 Grain 3-Pack Broadheads

Broadheads Manufacturer: Phantom
Phantom Model: #4125/ 4-Blade, 125 Grain 3-Pack
Review Category: Broadheads

Purchase: Broadheads I paid $19.99 for the first pack I bought at a local hunting trade show. I have bought them on clearance sale at Wal-mart for $7.50 per 3-pack, which is only because Wal-mart, in my area, no longer carriers them. Ebay usually has someone auctioning them, but retailers usually sell them for $18.99 to $19.99.

Things I like about the Phantom #4125/ 4-Blade, 125 Grain 3-Pack Broadheads: When it comes down to taking game, I can't imagine a better performer in a fixed blade broadhead. These are the most accurate fixed, 4-blade broadhead I've ever shot. I took 2 deer this year using this product. In both cases, I got complete pass-throughs, even on one extreme quartering shot. Both animals expired within seconds in plain view of my tree stand.

What I don't like about the Phantom #4125/ 4-Blade, 125 Grain 3-Pack: If there were one thing I could ask the manufacturer to do is to make the blades sharper. They are sharp enough to shave hair off your arm, but it takes more effort than I prefer with broadheads. If these blades were brought to a greater level of sharpness, they would be the best broadheads available, period--in my humble opinion.

Broadheads #4125/ 4-Blade, 125 Grain 3-Pack quality: Each 125 grain broadhead has a stainless steel main blade, solidly attached to an aluminum ferrule. The main blade leads for cut-on-contact performance. The stainless steel bleeder blade slides into the ferrule and locks firmly into place when screwed into the arrow insert. The blades are resharpenable and the bleeder blades are replaceable. There is no looseness or rattling on any I've used.

#4125/ 4-Blade, 125 Grain 3-Pack summary: This is an excellent choice for any serious bowhunter who prefers a fixed blade, cut-on-contact design. Accuracy and penetration are excellent. Accuracy equals or exceeds 3-blade designs with no planing observed ever.
