Easton XX78 Superslam Aluminum Arrows
Arrows Manufacturer: Easton
Easton Model: XX78 Superslam Aluminum
Review Category: Arrows
Purchase: Arrows I usually buy my arrows from FS Discount Archery. They build them to order. One dozen usually costs around $75.00 (plus shipping) depending on what options are installed. I like to have my arrows fletched with feathers in a right helical configuration. I like to be able to choose the colors of my feathers.
Things I like about the Easton XX78 Superslam Aluminum Arrows: These arrows are consistently very straight. They are straighter than carbon arrows. I like the weight of aluminum arrows over carbon ones. Aluminum arrows, properly spined for my bow, are consistently heavier than most carbon arrows, which gives them great kinetic energy and momentum downrange. Aluminum arrows usually have greater diameter than carbon arrows, which make it easier to fletch them with the helical feathers I prefer. All of these factors combined, make them the best choice when shooting large, fixed-blade broudheads.
What I don't like about the Easton XX78 Superslam Aluminum : Aluminum arrows are generally a bit less durable than carbon arrows, but as long as reasonable care is exercised, aluminum arrows will last for many seasons. I don't think there is any way to make aluminum arrows more durable.
Arrows XX78 Superslam Aluminum quality: Easton XX78 Superslams are the best aluminum arrows made. They are staight and strong. They are very solidly constucted.
XX78 Superslam Aluminum summary: For the hunter who prefers aluminum arrows, Easton XX78's are the best choice available. There have probably been more trophy game animals taken with Easton aluminum arrows, than any other arrow in history.
