Purchase: Black Powder I purchased mine from Brewerton Sport, in Brewerton,New York 3 yrs ago for $420. I have hunted with Thompson Center muzzeloaders since 78, built CVA Kentucky 45 (wallhanger) TC Hawken 50 (still shooting open sight 3" group at 100.) 5 more thompsons all deer-takers, TC came out with the Omega, state of the art!!!!
Things I like about the Thompson Center Arms Omega 50 cal Black Powder: I tried a few different loads before settling on TC Shockwave 250 gr. & 100 pyro. Awesome groups out to 225 yds. I would have been happy just to have the 209 positive ignition even without the other bonuses, synthetic stocks, solid lock-up(no burned scope like the bolt-actions get)The first two years I had a shotgun scope on it, switched to Burris Fullfield 3x9 that's when the precision came out. Took 4 deer with it this year. Quality Made in America
What I don't like about the Thompson Center Arms Omega 50 cal : The only thing I disliked was the price I paid, but I got it only by chance as the factory rep just happen to bring it as a demo to Brewerton Sports two days annual sale. Seen it had to have it Even Still No Regrets
