Purchase: Walkie Talkies I recieved this set of walkie talkies from my kids for Christmas. Turns out they purchased them form Dick's Sporting goods; retail $99.
Things I like about the Motorola T7100 Walkie Talkies: 1)Range (7miles) although I haven't tested them yet. 2)Rechargeable battery packs so I won't go broke buying batteries. 3)Belt clips are handy.
What I don't like about the Motorola T7100: A little on the large size compared to other competitors.
Walkie Talkies T7100 quality: Quality was poor. I broke the terminals off trying to install the battery pack in one unit. Also, the plastic belt clip locks are very easy to break. Thank goodness Dick's Sporting Goods (extremely reputable) exchanged them no questions asked. The second set seem to be better....we'll see. Emailed Motorola to complain and haven't heard back from them.
T7100 summary: If I had to do it over, I probably would go with a different manufacturer. Disappointed in Motorola.
