RUGER Ruger Gold Label 12ga shotgun Shooting Accessories
Shooting Accessories Manufacturer: RUGER
RUGER Model: Ruger Gold Label 12ga shotgun
Review Category: Shooting Accessories
Purchase: Shooting Accessories I ordered one in 2002 when they were announced, from Dave's gunshop in Lafayette, Louisiana. I paid $1701.00 for it, including 8.5% tax. I got it on Dec. 15, 2004.
Things I like about the RUGER Ruger Gold Label 12ga shotgun Shooting Accessories: The trim lines and light weight of the gun make it a joy to hold. The balance and feel of the gun make it a joy to shoot. I'm a duck hunter, shooting over 1500 acres that has been in my family for 100 years. I shoot 3 or 4 days a week, and after a case of 1 1/8 oz shells,I can say the gun is a keeper. It does not have the tightness of my Parker guns when open, but when it locks up, it's feel is as good as any english style gun on the market.
What I don't like about the RUGER Ruger Gold Label 12ga shotgun: The looseness when open is a negative, but thats why it sells for what it does. Precision machinery still can't equal the hand work of "Best" guns. The wood on the gun is a little too plain, but again, it's a function of price. All together, it's a typical Ruger value, performing equal to or better than the best in it's class.
Shooting Accessories Ruger Gold Label 12ga shotgun quality: Like I mentioned before, the construction and quality are typical Ruger. Nothing fancy, just perfect function and handling
Ruger Gold Label 12ga shotgun summary: If Ruger builds a full line of these guns in all gauges, I'll buy them. Just imagine what a scaled down 28ga bird gun would be like!
