Goldtip Goldtip centurion Broadheads
Broadheads Manufacturer: Goldtip
Goldtip Model: Goldtip centurion
Review Category: Broadheads
Purchase: Broadheads I acquired these broadheads at my town's local archery shop. I got them because I wanted a fixed blade broadhead instead of a mechanical. I have used the goldtip gladiator broadheads and was impressed. However, I have read many reviews that say mechanical broadheads do not penetrate like fixed blades so I made the switch to the new centurions. I paid $19.99 for three of them.
Things I like about the Goldtip Goldtip centurion Broadheads: I like the small compact size and the chissled tip on the broadhead.
What I don't like about the Goldtip Goldtip centurion : In both packs of broadheads that I purchased blades were loose when tightened down. I was told this was a defect and sent them back. Upon receiving my new broadheads, I put them on my arrows and found that they too were loose. Therefore, I am very disappointed in their construction. Also, the package claims that they shoot equal to a field tip. Mine did not. I do not know if the loose blades affected the flight of the arrow enough to make them fly as far off as mine. They flew about 4 inches high and 3 inches left.
Broadheads Goldtip centurion quality: As stated above, the construction was bad making the quality equally bad.
Goldtip centurion summary: I wish I would have just bought the crimson talon broadheads
