Purchase: Trail Cameras (t-z) I had read about the use of trail cameras and was very intrigued about their use. I found this camera at WalMart for $70 and figured it was a reasonable cost to experiment with.
Things I like about the Stealth Cam MC2-GWM Trail Cameras (t-z): Inexpensive and easy to use, weather proof; test feature for the sensor is good idea to make sure it's working properly; has a standby mode to power down the unit and move it without taking more pictures; the prints can be stamped with either the date or time. Most of all, the camera takes very good pictures, had excellent shots of bucks last fall in thick timber. Tech support from the company was very good too to answer questions.
What I don't like about the Stealth Cam MC2-GWM: Would be nice if there was better insulation to save battery life in cold weather. Unit could use a switch to turn off sensor so you can easily open the door without wasting the shutter taking more pictures.
Trail Cameras (t-z) MC2-GWM quality: Seems rugged enough; a little clumsy to open latches on side.
MC2-GWM summary: It works great for me. Lithium batteries greatly help in the cold season so film will rewind properly. If unit hasn't rewound afer exposing whole roll, try bringing it indoors and warming to ambient temp., then press man. rewind. If that doesn't work try fresh batteries. Extreme temps in low 40's to freezing is hard on electronics no matter what brand you buy! I'm purchasing a second one so I can hang them on opposite sides of a tree to get that front shot of the next trophy buck!
