Purchase: Fishing Misc Equip I recently purchased this item at Sport Chalet and paid $29.
Things I like about the White Sierra Fishing Shirt Fishing Misc Equip: After having looked for a good fishing shirt for several months during the off-season, I stumbled upon this one a Sport Chalet. Most of the other shirts I had looked at were rather expensive at $50 to $90. Most were exactly what I was looking for and were relieble names such as Ex Oficio and Columbia. The cheapest place I found a similar shirt that still appeared to be well constructed was at Cabela's for $39 plus shipping. The thing I like best about the White Sierra shirt is the price! You can't beat $29 for a well constructed shirt that rivals the more expensive brands. The shirt is made out of Supplex which is a microfiber that is supposed to be very soft, in fact, 26% to 36% softer than standard nylon. Supplex is the material that most swimming trunks are made from. It is an extremely fast drying material. I wore the shirt fly fishing in Bishop two weeks ago and it was very comfortable in the chilly early morning hours as well as, the warm sunny afternoon. The sleeves can be rolled up and held in place with Swiss tabs and the back of the shirt is vented. Supplex won't wrinkle, shrink or fade, so this shirt should last for quite some time. It has a 30 ultraviolet sun protection ratin and is breathable.
What I don't like about the White Sierra Fishing Shirt : I would have preferred a cape or vent in the back that could open freely rather than be tacked down at its centerpoint but that is the only negative.
Fishing Misc Equip quality: I was searching for an affordable quick-drying shirt that was breathable and at the same time, tough enough to wear stream fishing and while standing in the surf.
summary: If you're looking for a comfortable afordable shirt that will dry quickly, look no further!
