Purchase: Bass Fishing Reels Wal Mart for 40.00 bucks. Jacksonville Florida. I bought the combo.
Things I like about the Shakespeare Catera Spinning Bass Fishing Reels: The reel is awsome. For the price range I am really pleased. The look of the reel is great. It has served me well. The combo is much better thn the 60 or 80 dollar Shimano combos.
What I don't like about the Shakespeare Catera Spinning : Personally I do not like 2 piece rods. That is one thing. There are no 7 foot Med/Heavy rods. There is also no spare spool unlike Shakespeares lower lined Excursion.

Spinning summary: If you need a decent all purpose combo or want a great reel definatley go with the Shakespeare "Catera"
