Trail Timer EZ-CAM 2500 Trail Cameras
Trail Cameras Manufacturer: Trail Timer
Trail Timer Model: EZ-CAM 2500
Review Category: Trail Cameras
Purchase: This is just a follow up to my earlier review of the same camera.
Things I like about the Trail Timer EZ-CAM 2500: I have now had my 1st EZ-Cam out in the woods continously since mid December 2004. It's now July 18, 2005. I used lithium AA batteries in the camera and they lasted until late May. I've replaced two 9 volts which power the sensor. I've lost count of the rolls of film it's taken now but it has been a lot as it's been over a salt lick most of the time. The 2nd EZ-CAM I bought didn't fare so well as the camera quit after about 3 months. I swapped cameras from my two units and proved the camera itself was the problem. Knowing this, I cemailed Trail Timer and they replaced it for free. When I plugged the new camera into the housing, it started taking pictures perfectly.
What I don't like about the Trail Timer EZ-CAM 2500: After about 8 months of uninterupted use, I have no complaints other than not being able to put both the day and time on the pictures. You have to chose one or the other but can't have both.
EZ-CAM 2500 quality: Good. Solid. Waterproof so far.
EZ-CAM 2500 summary: I would recommmend this camera. I am a bit surprised that Trail Timer still hasn't added it to their website though. They still show the Photo Hunter as new but when I emailed them last fall about which they would recommend, they told me the cheaper EX-CAM was a better product.
