Purchase: Bass Lures Baits When I saw the opportunity to write a review on Rooster Tails I was thrilled. I owe these people as these are my number one trout killer, and use them for bass alot as well. I'm constantly purchasing them. They go anywehre from $2 to $4.00 anymore.
Things I like about the Yakima Bait Rooster Tails Bass Lures Baits: I start the day with a black and if their not hitting on that I switch to a white. If their not banging on any of them then I know it's going to be a long day. It seems the fish wake up and decide on black, or white for the day. I've had luck with some of the other colors, but not like the black, or white. If their being real picky I usually take the size down a notch to 1/16", usually though I use 1/8". for lake fishing, like I usually do I let them sink a good bit and then start out with a real quick twitch of the rod to get that blade swinging. Keeping the rod pointed at the ground I reel slowly with a small twitch of the rod tip every few cranks of the reel. This works wonders, I learned it off a kid in high school who was very serious about his fishing. He was good.
What I don't like about the Yakima Bait Rooster Tails: There's not much bad I could say about them and usually snag them before they ever wear out, if that's possbile. I wish they sold them in bul packs of just white and black.
Bass Lures Baits Rooster Tails quality: Blades spin nicely. No complaints. They stand up to a lot of rough bottoms.
Rooster Tails summary: Excellent lure, I'm glad I had the chance to thank them with this review. They can put all the new lures they want out there, but this one is tried and true. Dig into the bottom of your tackle box and give these guys a try again. Like I said if they don't want these, I'd be surprised if they want anything else.
