Purchase: Rifle Scopes I really wanted a quality scope to put on my Remington 7400 30-06. I purchased it at Cabela's for $199.99 plus $12.99 for shipping and handling. I was going moose hunting in Northern Maine and I didn't want my optics to screw things up
Things I like about the Leupold Rifleman 3x-9x-40mm Rifle Scopes: The first and foremost thing I like about the Leupold Rifleman is the clarity. Second would be the price. third would be the ease of sighting it in. I also found this scope to work very well in low light conditions. I have to be totally honest when I say I really can't tell much difference from my Leupold Vari-X III 3x-10x-40mm Riflescope that I paid $449.99 and the Leupold Rifleman 3x-9x-40mm that I paid $199.99 for. Best of all it still has the lifetime warranty on it. So how can you go wrong
What I don't like about the Leupold Rifleman 3x-9x-40mm: What I dislike about the unit is that I found in order to recieve an accurate adjustment when zeroing it in, I needed to tap on the turret screws. Also I found the power adjustment ring very tight or stiff. one other thing and I don't nessasarily think it is a bad thing but I would like to mention that unlike most high end scopes the minutes of angle(MOA) being 1/4 minutes the rifleman's MOA are in 1/2 minutes. It just takes some getting used to.

Rifleman 3x-9x-40mm summary: Bottom line if you want a quality scope with a lifetime guarantee for less money, this is the scope for you. This is a fairly new product but I have consistantly had 1 1/2 inch groups. I am proud to say that I took a 1312 pound bull moose at 207 yards with one shot. I have all the confidence in the world in the quality of this scope
