BSA CATSEYE 3.5-10 x 50MM #CE3510X50IR Hunting Scopes
Hunting Scopes Manufacturer: BSA
BSA Model: CATSEYE 3.5-10 x 50MM #CE3510X50IR
Review Category: Hunting Scopes
Purchase: I PURCHASES THIS SCOPE AT A LOCAL SPORTS AUTHORITY AND PAID $119.00. I DID THE USUAL PICK IT UP AND COMPARE IT SIDE BY SIDE WITH MORE EXPENSIVE SCOPES, AND FOUND IT TO HAVE AS GOOD AS OR BETTER SIGHT PICTURE, AND EYE RELIEF OF THE MORE EXPENSIVE BRAND NAME SCOPE.
Things I like about the BSA CATSEYE 3.5-10 x 50MM #CE3510X50IR: PRO'S: THIS $119 DOLLAR SCOPE HAS A CLEARER SIGHT PICTURE AND LONGER EYE RELIEF THAN THE MORE EXPENSIVE REDFIELD. SCOPE FINISH IS GOOD, THE EUROPEAN RETICLE IS EXCELLENT. WITH ONLY A FEW SHOTS I WAS ZEROED, AND THE SCOPE HELD IT'S ZERO (.270). IT IS A VERY GOOD SCOPE FOR THE MONEY.
What I don't like about the BSA CATSEYE 3.5-10 x 50MM #CE3510X50IR: CON'S: I DON'T THINK YOU REALLY NEED THE LIGHTED RETICLE (JUST A NEW FANGLED SELLING SCHEME). THE LITTLE CATEYE LOGO DETRACTS FROM THE SCOPE'S APPEARANCE.
CATSEYE 3.5-10 x 50MM #CE3510X50IR quality: THE CONSTRUCTION IS GOOD, THE MATTE FINISH SEEMS TO BE WELL LAYED. THE FINISH IS A NO FRILLS SIMPLE FINISH AND NOT AS PRETTY AS THE MORE EXPENSIVE LEUPOLD....IF YOU JUST LIKE TO LOOK GOOD-YOU MAY WANT TO BUY ANOTHER MORE EXPENSIVE SCOPE.
CATSEYE 3.5-10 x 50MM #CE3510X50IR summary: EXTREMELY FUNCTIONAL SCOPE. I'LL BE REPLACING MY REDFIELD, AND BUSHNELL ELITE SCOPE WITH IT. IT'S NOT AS NICE AS MY LEUPOLDS OR AETEC, BUT IT IS A GOOD PRACTICAL SCOPE FOR FAR LESS THE MONEY.
