Purchase: Shooting Accessories I bought these from Cabelas. They were $79.99 a pair.
Things I like about the Radians In the ear amplifiers Shooting Accessories: I bought these because I had owned a Walkers game ear and liked it except for the fact that it was uncomfortable wearing it with glasses. (behind the ear). Also, with just one unit it was difficult to tell where the sounds were coming from. An additional Walkers was another $159 and it still would be uncomfortable being behind the ear. Walkers, in the ear amplifiers are almost $400. I took a chance and bought the Radians.
What I don't like about the Radians In the ear amplifiers: First of all, one of them didn't even work. Secondly, the sounds they amplified sounded terrible. Lots of static and background hiss. The quality was just not there. $79.99 was cheap but these were not even worth that by any means. Surprised that Cabelas would even sell them. They are on par with the woodland whisper hearing enhancers that sell for $19.
Shooting Accessories In the ear amplifiers quality: As I stated above. These were terrible. Quality was not there in materials or performance.
In the ear amplifiers summary: I am not happy with the hearing enhancements so far. The headphone types will not work for bow hunting since they interfere with my anchor point. The in the ear ones are ridiculously expensive. For now I am going to just deal with what mother nature has given me and what a year in Nam has done to my hearing. I have done very well in the past but anticipate that my hearing will go downhill as time goes on.
