Purchase: Hunting Gear Misc Purchased the two burner shower from Cabela's for around $200.00 December 2004. We needed a shower system for our hunting camp. We were tired of heating water on the stove in buckets. We had to try something, and this looked like it would work for our needs.
Things I like about the Zodi Two Burner Camp Shower Hunting Gear Misc: We like everything! We should have tried this shower as soon as we were aware of it. We held off for a couple years due to thinking it was a gimmic. This is with out a doubt one of the best purchases we have ever made. We used it for the first time last fall during elk season. We could not believe how well and easy this shower works. Three hunters used it every other day for 10 days, and the batteries/water pressure never changed. The two propane bottles had a majority of the fuel left after we were done. On average a full shower (not a quick spit bath) used around four gallons of water. It could be done with around two gallons used, but we have water available to use. Any hunter can tell you a full washdown shower is a great re-energizer while hunting. The two burner was almost a little overkill, and I am sure a single burner would work fine. We had to be careful about too much heat with both burners. We used ice water (ice chunks in water can) and only a short amount of "re-cycling" made it hot. The entire shower excluding propane bottles fits into a strong and well built container. You need to buy one of these right after you buy your hunting license.
What I don't like about the Zodi Two Burner Camp Shower: The only thing I do not like is the non ability to only use one propane bottle. I guess we will have to purchase the single burner to pack into a spike camp.
Hunting Gear Misc Two Burner Camp Shower quality: Everything is well built and rugged. The container is heavy enough to last years of packing. The tubing is cut or damaged can easily be replaced from any good hardware store. This is a well designed and sturdy piece of must have hunting equipment.
Two Burner Camp Shower summary: Bottom line is you can and will understand how nice this shower is after you try it one time.
