Purchase: Fishing Tackle I acquired this lure at Gander Mountain in Columbus Ohio. I was reading an article on different kinds of lures to use in Canada to fish for Northern Pike. The lures ranged in price from $3.69 to $3.99 each. I decieded to try them for myself.
Things I like about the Johnson Silver Spoon 1/4 " and 1/2" size Fishing Tackle: I tried this lure in different kinds of weed beds, and it worked very well for me. This lure is rigged weedless, and it works just fine to draw the fish right up out of the weeds. They even strike at it when I trow it on top of lilly pads.
What I don't like about the Johnson Silver Spoon 1/4 " and 1/2" size: I never found anything about this lure I didn't like.
Fishing Tackle 1/4 " and 1/2" size quality: This lure is made very strong. The pike hit it so hard, they scratch them up some times. Also the piece that makes them weedless breaks off because of repeated hits. But you catch a lot of fish before this happens.
1/4 " and 1/2" size summary: I enjoy fishing the Johnson Weedless Spoon. It could only be made better if It had a harder fininsh on it. And a stronger weedless tine. But I always buy several, and brag on the scrated up lures, with broken tines.
