Purchase: Rifle Scopes I wanted a real nice scope for my new Remington and bought this scope on the suggestion of an older friend who was insistant I buy a Colt Rifle and a Redfield Scope. Since I didn't get the rifle he insisted was the best I decided to at least get the scope as he was in a position to make my life miserable(Girlfriends Father). This was two to three years ago so I don't remember the price, but I certainly no the scope well enough to review it by now.
Things I like about the Redfield 3 x 9 Scope Rifle Scopes: It holds a zero well and doesn't go out of sight during the off site. Other than that I haven't been all too impressed.
What I don't like about the Redfield 3 x 9 Scope: The scope has never been the clearest I had seen, in fact I missed my old Weaver right off the bat. Although it doesn't fog up inside it loves to grab that last breath you take and put it on the outside reticle. You won't be hitting any tacks with this scope. It will however get you in the neighborhood which for me is all I ask for. I also don't like the power adjustment which puts up a fight whenever it can.
Rifle Scopes 3 x 9 Scope quality: After about three years it's the same as it always was out of the box.
3 x 9 Scope summary: I think I bought the name and a cheap scope. I just don't like it and look forward to getting rid of it when I trade the gun on something new. In the future I won't let anyone influence my buying decisions. I may just decide to go Leupold, or buy the top of the line Bushnell. Maybe some of the Redfields are great, but this lowere end Redfield doesn't cut it.
