API Baby Grand Tree Stands
Tree Stands Manufacturer: API
API Model: Baby Grand
Review Category: Tree Stands
Purchase: Tree Stands I paid about $100 for the the stand at Dick's Sporting goods. I have always hunted out of home-made tree stands on private land (gun season) and I was about to to take up bow hunting for the first time and I needed to get higher up. I have several family members that are bow hunters and I asked them their advice for a comfortable stand at a decent price. Their first choice was the API Baby Grand. It is a bit heavier than most stands, but once it is up in the tree, comfort is what it's all about hour after hour. I have used it 2 years and it stays primarily outside four month of the year.
Things I like about the API Baby Grand Tree Stands: BIG and COMFORTABLE seat. There is plenty "cheek" room and plenty of room to adjust your feet when you need to get off a shot. I added a bow holder and I was still able to collapse the whole stand without any trouble.
What I don't like about the API Baby Grand : At about 26 pounds, it will give you a good workout lugging out and into a tree. Once it is there, you will be quite comfortable though.
Tree Stands Baby Grand quality: Good quality. Folds up nicely, but I recommend a bungee cord to keep the frame from causing a ruckus.
Baby Grand summary: Very good treestand for the money. I have bought "similar" types that are much more uncomfortable.
