Hunter's View 10 pt climbing Tree Stands
Tree Stands Manufacturer: Hunter's View
Hunter's View Model: 10 pt climbing
Review Category: Tree Stands
Purchase: Tree Stands Bought the stand at Dick's Sporting Goods for $89, which was their lowest price ever...usually $119
Things I like about the Hunter's View 10 pt climbing Tree Stands: About the only thing I liked was the price. It's obviously a sturdy stand (300 lbs max) but I am looking for something light and most of all quiet for getting in and out in the dark without clanging pins....I'm a serious bowhunter and should have paid the extra money to buy a Summit.
What I don't like about the Hunter's View 10 pt climbing : Bulky....heavy at 27 lbs, noisy pin locking system to secure the tree cable. Cheezy back straps included and a cumbersome safety harness they describe as a free $39 value :-(
Tree Stands 10 pt climbing quality: Steel construction....should go aluminum if you plan on climbing hills or dragging big deer out of the woods with that thing on your back !
10 pt climbing summary: Excellent price...tough to beat that. Nice looking...but impractical for my use. I need something quiet and something I don't need a flashlight to assemble or disassemble in the dark. Locing the pin system into the cable in the dark is virtually impossible and also noisy. Trying to avoid that while going for the big daddy ! Don't mean to slam Hunter's View here, just stating some facts and hopefully helping some hunters out there.
