Summit ClearShot Tree Stands
Tree Stands Manufacturer: Summit
Summit Model: ClearShot
Review Category: Tree Stands
Purchase: Tree Stands I bought this stand from Rogers sporting goods in Liberty, Missouri for $168.00. I bought it because the hand climber could be moved out of the way and still have a seat availible.
Things I like about the Summit ClearShot Tree Stands: After the hand climber is out of the way you have a clear shooting area all around the tree. With climbers I used in the past there would be areas where the hand climber/seat portion of the stand would get in the way and prevent a shot with a compound bow. With one stand my bottom cam of the compound hit the hand climber and destroyed the cam and caused me to miss a large deer. This year a deer came in from behind and was almost directly below and behind me with the clearshot stand I was able to shoot with no problems at all.
What I don't like about the Summit ClearShot: Since the seat is attached to the lower portion of the stand there can be some metal to metal noise. This was cured when I applied some tape to the stand in critical locations.
Tree Stands ClearShot quality: Quality and overall construction is very good. I did have one problem with the straps ripping under the seat making it unusable however, with one quick phone call to Summit a new part was shipped out and arrived in two days. Great customer service!!!!!!
ClearShot summary: Excelent stand and I would highly recommend it to all bowhunters who like a totaly clear view all around
