Rocky Extreme Light Hunting Boots
Hunting Boots Manufacturer: Rocky
Rocky Model: Extreme Light
Review Category: Hunting Boots
Purchase: Hunting Boots I spent a long time looking for a paif of boots that were tall, fit well, and were light. I found these at local shops but couldn't find my size so I ordered them from Cabela's.
Things I like about the Rocky Extreme Light Hunting Boots: These boots had a great fit, break in was minimal, and they were very functional for long hikes and stalking while bowhunting. The tread pattern is very agressive. I never had any complaints about the performance of the tread.
What I don't like about the Rocky Extreme Light : The only thing that went wrong is these aren't Gore-tex but they are still supposed to be waterproof. They weren't......about 4 months into scouting and hunting seasons the right boot started to leak. I ignored it until it became too much. I water tested them before I sent them back and it turns out the left boot had a small leak as well.
Hunting Boots Extreme Light quality: The boots them selves are built well. There were a few chunks broken off of the tread as well. Rocky Waterproof construction wasn't enough this time.
Extreme Light summary: These boots fit and feel great. They are light give great traction. Unfortunately mine didn't stay waterproof for very long. I have elected to get a refund rather than try another pair. If they made this in a Gore-Tex model I would buy it.
