WILDVIEW .3 MEGA PIXEL STC-TGL1 Trail Cameras
Trail Cameras Manufacturer: WILDVIEW .3 MEGA PIXEL
WILDVIEW .3 MEGA PIXEL Model: STC-TGL1
Review Category: Trail Cameras
Purchase: Trail Cameras I received the unit from a family member as a Christmas gift, I have always had 35mm trail cams in the past and they know I use digital photography for everything else. I know this camera was on a hot purchase at Gander Mountain before christmas for less then $100 dollars and a mail in rebate. I beleive final cost was about $70.
Things I like about the WILDVIEW .3 MEGA PIXEL STC-TGL1 Trail Cameras: The best thing about this camera is digital photos no more going to one hour photo with 20 rolls of film. Another strength of the unit when compared to stories from friends with more technical models is its simplicity. It came with everything needed and with a small investment in a memory stick or two you don't have to take it off the tree.
What I don't like about the WILDVIEW .3 MEGA PIXEL STC-TGL1: The disadvantages of the unit are not severe if you are looking for a basic camera. The biggest disadvantage is a very limited flash range, about 15 feet, less if it is a very dark night. Also it seems in comparison to other photos I have seen it seems to not have a very wide angle picture. The last thing I would warn about now that I have done a little research is that alot of the new models in the same price range have video capability.
Trail Cameras STC-TGL1 quality: The unit appears to be put together very well, with a dual latch to keep it weather proof. However, since I have only recently owned I can not really speak to its durability or longevity.
STC-TGL1 summary: If you are not a computer whiz, on a budget and understand the limitations for night pictures this is a great beginners trail cam.
