Purchase: Hunting Boots Hi Fellow Hunters. Unlike many of you when I pick out a pair of hunting boots I wear them day and night including hunting and even the occasional fishing trip. I don't play by all the rules that say you can't wear your hunting boots except for hunting. I wear these ranger boots to shovel the driveway, change the oil ect. so when I need a good pair of hunting boots I need them for everything else also. I found these hunting boots at a local sport and Hunting Gear shop and really liked what I saw. The price was right and don't ask me what that was because I have better things to do than remember the price of my hunting boots.
Things I like about the Rocky Ranger Hunting Boots: These boots are a great all around pair of boots not just for hunting. They have 800 grams of thinsulate which comes in handy on the cold mornings, but the best part to me is they my feet don't sweat in them nearly as much as other boots. I also like how light they are for all they are packing. Last but not least another thing I like about these hunting boots is I was able to wear them through a flood a while back and for the most part me feet didn't get wet all except when I went in over the boot and who knows if I had them laced tighter maybe then I wouldn't have got my feet wet.
What I don't like about the Rocky Ranger: The leather might be a little too soft for my liking. I'm showing some pretty good scratches in them and I hope none ever tear all the way through. I demand a lot from my hunting boots and as I said these are also my everyday boots as well.
Hunting Boots Ranger quality: Comfortable and well made. They lace up quickly and securely and have a great feel about them.
Ranger summary: I am cheap, but also realize you get what you pay for. With something such as hunting boots I just won't compromise. Like a good tool these are something you are going to use daily. I don't see how you can go wrong with these hunting boots. They may not be the best hunting boots on the market, but their doing me a pretty nice job.
