Shimano Clarus Fishing Rods
Fishing Rods Manufacturer: Shimano
Shimano Model: Clarus
Review Category: Fishing Rods
Purchase: Fishing Rods I picked this fishing rod up at an end of season sale last September. Sometimes I'm dead serious about my fishing and I take my best fishing tackle and sometimes I just need to get away from the family and work so I take my less expensive fishing rod. The Shimano Clarus Fishing Rod falls into this category. I like a rod I don't have to worry about all that much and can just kick back and have some fun. I believe I paid around $60 for this fishing rod.
Things I like about the Shimano Clarus Fishing Rods: I've always been a big fan of the action on Shimano fishing rods. I also like the fact this fishing rod can be used for multiple species which to me means I'll use it for trout fishing and then when it gets a little warmer carp fishing with my friends over a few beers. Shimano fishing rods come with a limited lifetime warranty which I've never used, but it still makes me feel good it is there.
What I don't like about the Shimano Clarus: I've fished exclusively with Shimano Fishing rods and reels for close to 15 years now. My only gripe is the reels seem to wear down after a couple of years of hard fishing. Until then I wouldn't trade them for the world.
Fishing Rods Clarus quality: I'm a firm believer that in order to get sensitivity you have to give up some strength and although I haven't had any problems with this fishing rod yet, as sensitive as it is I wonder how long it will last. I guess time will tell.
Clarus summary: Shimano fishing reels and rods are the best all around value I've found. New out of the box they give the best presentation are the easiest to cast and to me the most sensitive fishing rods out ther. If you're upgrading your fishing tackle give one of these a try this year.
