Nontypical Cuddeback Digital 1.3 Trail Cameras (m-s)
Trail Cameras (m-s) Manufacturer: Nontypical
Nontypical Model: Cuddeback Digital 1.3
Review Category: Trail Cameras (m-s)
Purchase: Trail Cameras (m-s) Paid about $300 at Cabela's. Before this I had a digital Stealthcam replaced by factory about 5 times, then sold on E-Bay.
Things I like about the Nontypical Cuddeback Digital 1.3 Trail Cameras (m-s): Trigger speed is awesome, fires almost instantaneously. Critters are nearly always in center of pic, caught a RUNNING deer the first time out, 'nuff said. Battery life is excellent too, 4 D-cells last a month or more depending on temperature and number of flash pics. Pics are decent quality day & night. I bought two flash cards for it and switch them back and forth so I can leave the camera in the woods.
What I don't like about the Nontypical Cuddeback Digital 1.3: I wish it could take more than one pic per trigger so several views of the subject or what's following the subject could be gotten. Buttons were a little difficult for me to learn, but there is a simple-mode that's easy to use. Welded-up a homemade frame to mount it on my old Stealthcam screw-in step, which makes pointing it easier.
Trail Cameras (m-s) Cuddeback Digital 1.3 quality: No water leakage problems. Nice unit.
Cuddeback Digital 1.3 summary: Have owned the first one about 8 months now and I still love, love, love this camera! It worked through winter temps (unlike the Stealthcam). I liked it so much I bought a second one just like it at Cabela's Bargain Cave for less than $200. It performs as good as the first.
