Purchase: Tree Stands I bought this stand before last year's season. The previous year I'd bought a popular magnum type stand that weighed in at 28lbs. I hunt some steeper terrain and after lugging that stand in 1 time I decided it had to go! Couldn't afford a heart attack to pursue my passion! So, I searched for light stands, looked at the lone wolf, but decided to give this a try and I'm glad I did! I paid $295+ shipping of about $15. The thing was 1/2 the weight of the other stand and sat just as comfortable!
Things I like about the TimberTall Brute Lite Tree Stands: I was worried with such a light product how quiet and secure it would be and it really surprise me! I liked the light weight, you can set it up in a matter of a few minutes and you CAN sit it in all day if you want! Packs in well also. Has SOME adjustment, see below.
What I don't like about the TimberTall Brute Lite: This model has the adjustment that will let you adjust the stand on the tree. A GREAT concept, but a minor nuisance to do. You have to pretty much take the weight off the stand in order to adjust in while you are up in the tree, this can be a challenge while trying to adjust. I'd say you can perform some minor adjustment but not a major adjustment. Adjusting the seat was not really a problem, just the foot rest.
Tree Stands Brute Lite quality: As to construction, the first unit they sent me had a weld cracked on the seat portion when it arrived. I called them up, they immediately took care of it, sent me another and then I returned the one with the crack. They also took care of my shipping on the return by sending me a free gun rest to install!
Brute Lite summary: Overall a quality product from a quality company! I'd definitely buy another from them!
