Purchase: Tree Stands I bought this for my girl friend. Last year was her first year of deer hunting and I allowed her into my stand. She did a great job of spotting deer, but at the time may more noise and various motions than I wanted. This year I went out and bought her the ladder stand. Paid about $90.00 some dollars at Dicks.
Things I like about the Hunters View 15 Foot Ladder Stand Tree Stands: The first is it saved me some time from having to build one. The unit was very sturdy when installed properly. The reason I say properly is another hunter at camp this year had a very similar model, but didn't brace it against the tree properly and the stand was very shaky at best. It's very important you use the extra brace and rope to secure it on the bottom and use the ratchet on top.
What I don't like about the Hunters View 15 Foot Ladder Stand: I climbed in the stand to do some last moments of light hunting after she had gone in for the day. I had a very hard time getting under the optional shooting rail I installed. It's just not made for someone my size and I wouldn't consider myself exceptional large.
Tree Stands 15 Foot Ladder Stand quality: Excellent once installed properly. I didn't like when I took it down how parts could be lost. I wish they would replace the screws and nuts with some sort of attached permanent fasteners. It will be to easy to lose stuff between now and next year.
15 Foot Ladder Stand summary: Nice little stand for the price. Especially if you don't have time to build a ladder stand. I had planned on leaving it at camp, but was scared off by the prospects of it being stolen, or other people using the spot I scouted so hard for.
