Purchase: Archery Equipment I purchased this release because my old (and favorite) Tru-Fire Pro Bearing release finally wore out. I purchased it from Gander Mountain for 34.95.
Things I like about the Tru-Fire X-Caliper Bow release Archery Equipment: I was very satisfied with this release. After trying several types on their practice range, I stuck with quality I know and trust. It was comfortable to shoot with thin and heavy gloves, easy to put on my wrist in the dark(eyes closed) and switched from left to right handed, I shoot both. A big plus is its made in the USA.
What I don't like about the Tru-Fire X-Caliper Bow release: The only negative is the noisy velcro wrist strap instead of a buckle system like my old one had.
Archery Equipment X-Caliper Bow release quality: I thought it was very comfortable to wear, quiet(except taking it off), and the mechanics of it were sound and well designed. The pivoting of the caliper assembly separate from the wrap around wrist strap was nice becuase it offers more freedom of movement without torquing on the bow string. The trigger is fully adjustable to suit individual needs/ comfort level. It was very quiet/smooth on the release, even more so than my 10-plus year old model.
X-Caliper Bow release summary: Of the several types I tried, this is the release for me. It is versitile, reliable, and consistent. If I get the 10 years out of this one like my last one I'll be extremely satisfied. I would have definitely bought this at the regular list price of 44.95.
