Shimano Symatre Fishing Reels
Fishing Reels Manufacturer: Shimano
Shimano Model: Symatre
Review Category: Fishing Reels
Purchase: Bought this right after they came out. Paid about a $110, but I see them other places much cheaper now. My old tx Shimao had seen it's better days.
Things I like about the Shimano Symatre: Smooth, Smooth, Smooth.
What I don't like about the Shimano Symatre: Shorter and fatter than I'm used to. As with anything it takes a little while to get used to the newest model.
Symatre quality: First rate, and as I said very smooth. It's been my experience with the Shimano's in the past that at soem point they start to wear down a little. I'll be curious to see if this model does the same after a couple of years of intense fishing.
Symatre summary: Smooth, Smooth, Smooth, great line feed back. Seems very well made for the moment. If I can get a few years out of it like the last one I'll be happy, but you always do miss the last one. Maybe I need to match it up with a new rod.
