Purchase: Tree Stands I purchased this stand to replace a heavier, bulky tube steel self climber. I paid 129.00(on sale, regular price was 179.99).
Things I like about the Summit Clearshot Tree Stands: It was very light weight, at the time it was about the lightest on the market. It is sturdy and easy to use/ set up even in low light. I like the cable system as it is reliable and easy to adjust. Made in the USA.
What I don't like about the Summit Clearshot: Because it is a two piece, it was slightly bulky to pack. It did clank a bit on the underbrush/ branches
Tree Stands Clearshot quality: As with all Summit stands, the construction is top notch. Being light weight this stand still is solid and comfortable to climb with.
Clearshot summary: I like the overall product, a little more engineering to make the two piece stand easier/ smaller to pack in would be nice. The seat (attached to the lower half of the stand, swings up for use) is comortable for all day useage.
