Purchase: Hunting Boots Great hunting boots for the price. Needed a new set of hunting boots for early season scouting and didn't want to use any of my insulated boots for hunting.
Things I like about the Danner Recon Hunting Boots: 200 grams of thinsulate in these hunting boots is just enough to keep my feet warm, but not enough to make the boots into a tropical environment each time I go hunting in the early fall. The Gore-Tex in these boots is great as well.
What I don't like about the Danner Recon: I would like the sole of these hunting boots to be a little more rugged for the terrain I go hunting in but I know the hunting boots companies have to make a sort of one size fits all hunting terrains.
Hunting Boots Recon quality: Excellent, other than mud and dirt these boots are showing very little wear. So far I've only worn them scouting but soon enough they'll be my early season hunting boots as well.
Recon summary: Danner Hunting Boots are great. A friend of mine wears them pheasant hunting and finally talked me into trying a pair of these boots and I'm glad I did. They are light and not to bulky which I don't like in boots. Try a pair and you'll like them just as much.
