NAP Quik Spin Vanes 2.25 inch Archery Equipment
Archery Equipment Manufacturer: NAP Quik Spin Vanes
NAP Quik Spin Vanes Model: 2.25 inch
Review Category: Archery Equipment
Purchase: Archery Equipment I purchased these vanes from Gander Mountain Retail store in Denver, CO. I fletched my own Easton Axis Carbon arrows with a 1 degree offset using a Bitzenberger fletching tool.
Things I like about the NAP Quik Spin Vanes 2.25 inch Archery Equipment: In contrast to the reviewer above, I REALLY like these vanes. Yes, they are expensive. I removed 4" Dura Vanes from 6 arrows and left 6 untouched. The Quik Spins group much tighter from 20 yards all the way out to 60 yards. The difference is not subtle either. I have read that these vanes are not durable. That has not been my experience. I've skipped them of the dirt and asphalt while walk-back tuning my bow. No damage to the vanes at all! My focus is purely hunting. I had intended to purchase 4" Dura Vanes, the Pro Shop recommended against that. Shooting competitively (field points)they use 1" vanes and recommend 2.25" vanes for hunting set ups. I have to concur. I get great stabilization with the 2.25" vanes. Anything larger would result in decreased velocity and move your FOC back due to weight. The vanes are very quiet in flight, this surprised me.
What I don't like about the NAP Quik Spin Vanes 2.25 inch: Very expensive but function as advertised.
Archery Equipment 2.25 inch quality: Thicker and heavier than conventional synthetic vanes. Reports of poor durability are not accurate in my use.
2.25 inch summary: I have ordered more 2.25" Quik Spins off E-Bay and will strip the Dura Vanes off my remaining arrows prior to the upcoming elk season.
