Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X 40mm Rifle Scopes
Rifle Scopes Manufacturer: Bushnell
Bushnell Model: Elite 3200 3-9X 40mm
Review Category: Rifle Scopes
Purchase: Rifle Scopes I bought this rifle scope from my local Wholesale Sports store for about $250. I did lots of research on rifle scopes before I went out and bought this one for my brand new .270 WSM.
Things I like about the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X 40mm Rifle Scopes: I liked the variable power for a change (instead of all the fixed power scopes I've been using). Point of impact was not affected by changing the power on the scope. Magnification was easy to change with gloved hands, and has a nice smooth feel to it. Also, elevation and windage was easy to change with numb fingers. Even in the 40mm model, it was much easier to see objects through the scope in low light conditions then it was to see with the naked eye. Very crisp, clear images, even on cold and rainy days, thanks to its rainguard (a hydrophobic coating on the glass).
What I don't like about the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X 40mm: The only thing I'm not entirely crazy about, is the fact that the crosshairs are quite hard to see in low light conditions. Also, the focusing ring was difficult to turn, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it never moved after I set it.
Rifle Scopes Elite 3200 3-9X 40mm quality: Excellent construction and quality. I liked the feel of this scope when I picked it up. It seems fairly light compared to other scopes of this size, yet is very ruggedly built.
Elite 3200 3-9X 40mm summary: An awesome scope for the money I paid for it. I would gladly buy this scope again! Even on my hard kicking .270 WSM (Featherweight), the scope stayed well sighted in for the past two years and 160 rounds, requiring only fine tuning to keep it hitting bullseye at 150 yards.
