Moultrie 3.1 Trail Cameras (m-s)

Trail Cameras (m-s) Manufacturer: Moultrie
Moultrie Model: 3.1
Review Category: Trail Cameras (m-s)

Purchase: Trail Cameras (m-s) I purchased this camera at kittery trading post in Maine. I paid $169 for the unit. I could not pass it up for the price. the rechargable batterys where $12 dollar each.

Things I like about the Moultrie 3.1 Trail Cameras (m-s): The camo case makes it blend well into the surroundings well. The best feature I like is the 6 volt battery. I bought two rechargeable and switch them when it get low on power, which is about every two month, the life on them are terrific. Set up is a breeze. Very user friendly menu. I have two SD cards that I switch out when I check the camera then I just come home down load it to the computer and there are the pictures. The camera never leaves the wood so I don't miss a thing. I heard where people are complaining about the the straps but I don't have a problem with them I think they are easy to use. What I did do was put large S hooks on the case and closed them then attached a chain so I can lock it to the tree and still used the cords to hold it were I wanted it to be. The laser pointer makes it nice to see exactly where it is aimed, with out that it would be hard to tell just how high the sensor is aimed. If it needs to be aimed up or down I just put a stick in the top or bottom of the unit to get it where it needs to go. Picture quality is good there are three setting to choose from and a 10 second video clips that works when the flash is not required and automatically switches to taking a picture when night comes. It also Captures temperature, moon phase, time, date and location on each photo and video. Status display shows battery life, number of pictures taken, number of events occurred and memory left. The door is lockable so the SD card and battery can not be stolen. I love the camera for the money it can't be beat.

What I don't like about the Moultrie 3.1 : The motion sensor could be a little more sensitive than what it is but all in all it works well. When the flash goes off the deer have halo around there eyes but it does not affect the the antlers which is the most important part anyway. It would be better if it came in a lockable case but as described earlier it is an easy fix. all in all it is great!!!!.

Trail Cameras (m-s) 3.1 quality: The case is solidly constructed and totally water proof.

3.1 summary: For the price it can't beat. I would recommend it to anyone. You won't be disappointed
