Purchase: Tree Stands I bought my bigshot around 1998 at a local sports shop for $300. I had used several other stands (tree lounge...heavy, whitetail....squeeky as most other bolted together stands). I had back surgery and needed a lighter, stronger, comfortable stand.
Things I like about the Buckshot Deer stand Bigshot Tree Stands: This is a great stand and pretty light with a lot of strength for bigger guys. Very quite due to welds, sturdy & easy to convert from bow to gun style hunting. Pretty easy to assemble.
What I don't like about the Buckshot Deer stand Bigshot : Could improve by adding marking on arms to help line up adjustment holes. (I used paint & it works well). Needs improvement in carrying design. Designed to have to remove carrying straps due to each end strap attaches to both the seat and foot climber. Stand does not ride well on back on longer walks even though pretty light. Rubber will dry and crack on assembly bar locking attachment. Company employees not very friendly over the phone.
Tree Stands Bigshot quality: Well built due to welding versus bolts on many other stands. Have used stand a hundred times and it vertually fail proof for a big guy like me.
Bigshot summary: If someone stole this stand I would without hesitation buy another one or another style by this company. Heads above most other stands.
