Purchase: I picked this pair of boots up at Siera Trading Post for $80 . I do a lot of stand hunting , now that I have learned to SLOW down and my feet just wouldnt stay warm for 11-12 hrs .
Things I like about the Lacross PFT 1500 gram insulation: I love the fact that they live up to their promise to keep your feet warm , dry , and comfortable without all the weight that the other guys in camp lug around (MICKEY MOUSE STYLES). I now wear them for ice fishing and have no problem staying on the ice all day !
What I don't like about the Lacross PFT 1500 gram insulation: My only dislike is that when the instuctions say "NO NEED FOR EXTRA SOCKS" I didnt listen . They also should include (DO NOT WEAR THE FANCY SELF WICKING SOCKS) as a regular pair of socks work fine and do not trap the moisture in the toe area and make your toes cold .
1500 gram insulation quality: This particular set came in BILL JORDANS REALTREE HARDWOODS GREEN and the deer here in upstate NY didnt find that fact out until I poked them in the ribs . I like the 12 " height these came in as most of the area I hunt in seems to have cricks and swamps that are 10 inches deep !
1500 gram insulation summary: I started hunting 30 years ago and am truly amazed at the advances that the boot and clothing industries have made if you have the courage to try these new products . I for one have taken a whole new look at my hunting and fishing equipment before I start my sons and daughters and grandkids on their path of outdoor adventures . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !
