Shimano Sedona 500 Fishing Tackle
Fishing Tackle Manufacturer: Shimano
Shimano Model: Sedona 500
Review Category: Fishing Tackle
Purchase: Fishing Tackle I purchased the reel at a White Elephant sporting good store, and paid around 50 dollars about 6 years ago.
Things I like about the Shimano Sedona 500 Fishing Tackle: The main aspect that caught my eye with the sedona is the simplicity of the spinning reel. It does not have any hyper or super-d-duper cast or ultra indicator for the drag. These things in my opinion just mess up sooner or later. It has a smooth return, a nice weight and balance, and has taken lots of abuse fishing in salt water(not rated for, but I have used it many times-just rinse off) and freshwater. The reel casts smoothly, and has been trouble free for the entire time I have used it. I have put it through some major use too! I like the looks and comfort as well, the silver on grey is very stylish.
What I don't like about the Shimano Sedona 500: -The line capacity, but that is to be expected with an ultra light reel 100yrds-4 pound test
Fishing Tackle Sedona 500 quality: The construction is a front drag spinning reel. Graphite and metal construction for a very light, yet durable reel. The quality is awesome for the price.
Sedona 500 summary: This reel is great if your looking for a simple ultra light reel to last a long time. It handles big fish as well!
