Bass Pro Shops ZPS Finesse Drop Weights Fishing Tackle
Fishing Tackle Manufacturer: Bass Pro Shops
Bass Pro Shops Model: ZPS Finesse Drop Weights
Review Category: Fishing Tackle
Purchase: Fishing Tackle Towards the end of a summer spent leaving a lot of tackle snagged on river rocks, I went into Bass Pro Shops hoping they would have some sort of snag-proof miracle to help me feel better. I had spent much of my previous fishing trips rerigging lines which had broken off and was deperate. While buying something at Bass Pro usually makes me feel better, I knew it wouldn't necessarily help my snag problem. This time, however, I was in luck and the solution didn't break the bank.
Things I like about the Bass Pro Shops ZPS Finesse Drop Weights Fishing Tackle: These finesse drop weights are shaped just like a pill, and for the same reason. A rounded cylinder has about as little resistance as you can get, it just doesn't hang up very easily. To top that off there is a low-profile swivel at the top to keep things moving. After losing some serious hardware all summer, these reeled in with no trouble. Reeling in, I could tell when they "stuck" a little bit but then came right off (which could have been trouble with the other weights). To top all that off they only cost $2.99 for the 8 pack I bought (there is also an assortment package available for $5.99) and I've still gor 6 in there!
What I don't like about the Bass Pro Shops ZPS Finesse Drop Weights: It made me feel dumb for using and losing all those other weights for so long.
Fishing Tackle ZPS Finesse Drop Weights quality: Very good.
ZPS Finesse Drop Weights summary: I used this weight for catfish fishing off of a 3-way swivel with great success, but I can think of many situations (drop-shotting for crappie for example) where it would be useful. I think the rocky-bottomed environment is where it shines, and you can actually tell the difference fishing the same spots you've fished before. As a last endorsement I'll use one that's something everybody likes to hear -- these weights can easily pay for themselves (in tackle saved) in one outing.
