Deer Cam Trail Cameras (a-f)
Trail Cameras (a-f) Manufacturer: Deer Cam
Deer Cam Model:
Review Category: Trail Cameras (a-f)
Purchase: Trail Cameras (a-f) I bought it at Gander Mountain for about $300 flat with tax. I got it to help me with scouting. Time is precious to me these days and this little guy is saving me time.
Things I like about the Deer Cam Trail Cameras (a-f): These things are awesome, I haven't caught a picture of the big one yet, he's out there somewhere and it's just a matter of time as fall will soon be here. I have a bunch of his sons on film and a few of them are going to be monsters. Very easy to use right out of the box, unlike some home electronics I've bought lately.
What I don't like about the Deer Cam : Well, my biggest concern is some piece of scum coming on our property and taking this unit out with him. It has a nice cable on it, but who's to say the person doesn't come back in a couple of days with a bolt cutter. These things are worth money and people know it. I wish they'd make them so they'd be ruined if the cable was cut, that would stop people from their ways.
Trail Cameras (a-f) quality: Great construction, the actual camera is well protected from just about everything. I can see that blowing snow may be a problem, but most of my scouting will be done by then anyways.
summary: If you're like me and pressed for time this is the answer. It's great for conversations at the club as well. When I catch that big one on film you'll hear me screaming for miles. Definitely worth the investment. If I can limit my scouting by just a day or two I'll make a lot more than the original $300 I paid.
