Purchase: Fishing Reels on returning to michigan,after living in west texas. for twenty years, I took up bass fishing again , just as fast as i could get a resident fishing licence.!In texas I'd remembered with relish the thrill of fighting bass on light tackle so I went down to the local sporting goods and purchased an underspin to get the feel of a spinning rod with the simplicity of a spin cast. it cost twenty dollars.
Things I like about the abu garcia abumatic 275U Fishing Reels: Its light, easy to use, with the one touch casting. with 8 pound berkly fire line,I can make long casts and the steel bearings let me pull in lunkers with no visable wear to the reel you get real fight out of bluegill crappie and battles out of bass, trout, and walleye. out of the three underspins I tried the 275U caught more fish and is still ready for another season.
What I don't like about the abu garcia abumatic 275U: I guess the only thing I dont like about this reel is that Abu Garcia does't make a larger underspin. Id like to have one for the big guys and a faster gear ratio for pulling buzzbaits would be great.
