Moultrie GameSpy i40 Trail Cameras (m-s)
Trail Cameras (m-s) Manufacturer: Moultrie
Moultrie Model: GameSpy i40
Review Category: Trail Cameras (m-s)
Purchase: Trail Cameras (m-s) I looked at reviews for every trail camera I could find on the internet. The Moultrie GameSpy i40 and i60's got the best reviews out of all the trail cameras so I bought one on eBay for $199/free shipping. This is by far the best trail camera I have ever owned.
Things I like about the Moultrie GameSpy i40 Trail Cameras (m-s): It takes awesome quality picture flash, the infrared flash does not spook my deer like some old trail cameras I owned. It's battery life is amazing, I have owned this camera since Sept 07, it is now Nov 07; it has been constantly on and the battery power is still at 75%. That saves a lot of money on batteries. It has a screw wheel in the back so you can angle your camera on any tree without having to shove sticks behind it, plus it has a lazer pointer so you can make sure it is aimed in the right spot without having to take a picture to review if your aim is right. A 4GB SD card will give you over 4,300 pictures and over 800 videos! And the IR motion detecter does not waste pictures on wind blowing lims slightly or falling leaves.
What I don't like about the Moultrie GameSpy i40: The cable lock ports on the back of the unit are made of plastic, so if someone wanted to steal it without bolt cutters they could easily break it off without damaging an of the cameras functionaing ability. And there is no way to lock the SD card/Battery hatch without buying a third party steel anti bear/theft bracket for it.
Trail Cameras (m-s) GameSpy i40 quality: Other than the plastic cable lock hole and the unlockable SD card/battery hatch, it's built very well, very waterproof, and the pictures, shutter speed, IR motion detecter, and battery life is outstanding. To prevent theft buy a third party anti-bear/theft bracket
GameSpy i40 summary: Waterproof, extra long battery life, great pictures, great shutter speed, great IR motion sensor, 4GB SD card will not fill up unless you forget it for months. Aiming lazer, adjustment wheel. I am convinced this is the best camera on the market To prevent theft buy a third party anti-bear/theft bracket
