Purchase: Trail Cameras (m-s) I purchased the Moultrie 4.0 from Wal-Mart. I already had digital game cameras but needed a faster shutter activation speed. My old ones were lucky to get the picture of the animal with a 10 second activation speed. I was told that the Moultrie 4.0 was suppose to be about 1 second. I placed both my old deer cam and the Moultrie 4.0 side by side and I was totally amazed at how many pic's of animals the old one was missing. For the money the Moultrie is a super buy, $89.95 plus tax. For my needs, this camera does it all for me and the pics are very good quality.
Things I like about the Moultrie Moultrie 4.0 digital game camera Trail Cameras (m-s): Fast shutter activation, great quality pictures, long battery life, very reasonably priced and easy to setup.
What I don't like about the Moultrie Moultrie 4.0 digital game camera: Little bulky. With technology the way it is, why can't this camera be made in a much smaller/compact unit?

Moultrie 4.0 digital game camera summary: Overall, great camera for the price, be tough to beat it. Great shutter activation speed (for me at least). The pictures are very good quality. One suggestion, other than the slightly bulky size, why not have a rechargeable battery pack instead of the D cells? There are some very compact size 6 and 12 volt rechargeable batteries out there. My wife purchased me a game camera that was over $300 2 years ago. Numerous problems with it: tough to program, battery life was about 2 weeks max, "O" rings fell out of the infrared lens, door seal leaked, used both D and C batteries. Early this year it went completely out, it is now in the trash can. What am I getting at, well you don't have to pay "an arm and a leg" for a digital camera to get quality pictures. I could have purchased 3 Moultrie 4.0 for what my wife spent for one "high dollar" piece of junk. Keep it up Moultrie. I am looking forward to the single rechargeable battery and more compact size in the future.
