Cabelas Speed Hunter II Hunting Boots
Hunting Boots Manufacturer: Cabelas
Cabelas Model: Speed Hunter II
Review Category: Hunting Boots
Purchase: Hunting Boots
Things I like about the Cabelas Speed Hunter II Hunting Boots: These are the most comfortable pair of lightweight hunting boots I've ever worn. Great support, waterproof, breatheable, Scent Eliminator and great traction.
What I don't like about the Cabelas Speed Hunter II: Haven't found anything yet.
Hunting Boots Speed Hunter II quality: High quality construction as I've grown to expect from Cabelas products. I bought them in Oct and wore them through late Nov in Illinois so I had a chance to experience a variety of temps and weather conditions while wearing them.
Speed Hunter II summary: I bought these shoes in October to wear as my early bow season shoes. I needed something non-insulated to wear when the temps in Central IL are warm. The first couple hunts I wore them on, the temp was in the 60 - 80 range. No problems, comfortable, great for walking and hunting climbing treestands when you need something lightweight and flexible. These are a perfect warm weather, early season boot. I decided to put them to the test a little by wearing them in colder weather. I wore them on a couple 38 - 45 degree mornings with a thin sock and a wool sock combo and they were absolutely fine. However, these temps were with NO WIND. When I sat in the stand on a 40 degree day in a 5 - 10 mph wind, even with the two sock combo, my feet got cold. So my "early" season boots have now become my early/mid season boots. I also wore them for three hours in a very steady rain and when I took them off, my feet were bone dry.
