Family Tradition Treestands HD/HO Lock-On Stand Tree Stands
Tree Stands Manufacturer: Family Tradition Treestands
Family Tradition Treestands Model: HD/HO Lock-On Stand
Review Category: Tree Stands
Purchase: Tree Stands I saw this stand discounted after the season was over and it seemed different than anything I'd seen before. Normal price was $160 and it was on sale for $145.
Things I like about the Family Tradition Treestands HD/HO Lock-On Stand Tree Stands: Where to start... The seat was the most comfortable seat I've ever been in! They use nylon webbing on a fully welded seat frame and man it sure is comfy! They have a T-Handle that you use to pre-hang the stand. Once it's in the tree you simply put the stand onto it and it dangles on the tree, hands free, while you put on the ratchet straps. Ratchets are 2,000# breaking strength, never have seen anything like them as standard issue straps. Large platform supported by 1,900# tensile strength rubber coated chains and grade 8 bolts as attachements. This thing is built like a tank, I couldn't get it to move even when I jumped up and down on it in my front yard! Yes, I couldn't take it, had to set it up, low to the ground, and see if it really was as good as it looked!
What I don't like about the Family Tradition Treestands HD/HO Lock-On Stand: So far I haven't been able to figure out anything that I don't like! This might very well be the best hang-on style stand I've ever seen.
Tree Stands HD/HO Lock-On Stand quality: -Galvanized steel -Powder coating -Grade 8 Bolts, nylon lock-nuts -2,000# ratchets (2) Guys, this is a professional grade stand.
HD/HO Lock-On Stand summary: I guess I'd have to rank this at the top of any hang-on stand I've used. I can't wait for the season to start so I can spend some major time in it. It appears like a stand that will let the hunter sit all day without any discomfort at all. I see that they make Lock-On Ladder and I'm anxious to buy one and try that out as well. If it's anything like the stand I'll probably switch brands and only use theirs from now on!
