Hunter's view Wigwam Hunting Gear Misc
Hunting Gear Misc Manufacturer: Hunter's view
Hunter's view Model: Wigwam
Review Category: Hunting Gear Misc
Purchase: Hunting Gear Misc I purchased the blind at an archery store in Saskatoon, Canada, for $99. Wanted to hunt in something warmer than a treestand, and where I had more scent control
Things I like about the Hunter's view Wigwam Hunting Gear Misc: I can stay out hunting much longer because I'm out of the elements. While some reviews say you can't leave the blind up permanently, I have for several years now (at least from July to December). I did buy separate, stronger stakes to keep it in place. I love it, and bought a second one. I take big bucks every year out of it, by gun and bow, and have deer walk by at 3 yards without scenting me. I did find that putting brush around it helps the deer ignore it faster.
What I don't like about the Hunter's view Wigwam: The zippers can be somewhat noisy, and magnet windows would be wonderful.
Hunting Gear Misc Wigwam quality: Very good quality overall. Before I started using stronger stakes, a strong wind one day blew my blind about 200 yards, yet neither the fabric nor poles were torn or broken.
Wigwam summary: I have two, and use them from Sept from Dec without taking them down. I've taken deer with bow and muzzeloader, year after year. I get deer coming very close without scenting me, and deer get used to the blind quickly. Its cozy being out of the elements, and with a portable heater, I can stay in it for hours even at minus 25 degrees. Most of my hunting now is from these blinds.
