Purchase: Hunting Boots I have seen these boots for several months in the cabelas magazine and always wanted a pair. I live in Alaska and recently went to WV on vacation and went to the Cabelas in Wheeling WV and bought this pair.
Things I like about the Cabelas Rubber Hunting Boots 2000 Gram Thinsulate Boots Hunting Boots: I have owned a pair of hunting boots made by Bass Pro that were 1200 gram thinsulate and wore them out. Now I'm even more excited about trying to wear these new boots out. I ride my atv with these boots, I hunt with them, and I even work in my yard with them. We have really cold winters here (-50 to -60) and I spend lots of time in the outdoors hunting and riding; so warmth is very important to me. I believe these boots are going to put my last pair to shame. I love the way the boot contors to your ankle and gives a more secure feel to your foot so there is less movement and less of a chance for blisters. I love the camo pattern and the straps are much better than on my last pair.
What I don't like about the Cabelas Rubber Hunting Boots 2000 Gram Thinsulate Boots: The only thing I don't like so far is the weight of the boots, but that is part of owning these style boots. If you want this type of protection then you deal with the weight.
Hunting Boots 2000 Gram Thinsulate Boots quality: I love the traction on te botton of the boots, really good lugs that grip well. The boots are reinforced in the areas that really matter and get the most wear unlike the last pari I owned.
2000 Gram Thinsulate Boots summary: I love hunting and riding in the outdoors and I don't thinks theres a better boot to do this in then the rubber boot that Cabelas has designed. The only issue I have is that I should have bought these boots two years earlier. When the mercury reashes -50 others will be in their homes sleeping while I'll be out there complaining about having hot feet. LOL
