Purchase: Trail Cameras (G-L) I bought the Remington Ghost because it was reasonable in price and I wanted a camera that had an infrared flash on it. It seemed to be a very reasonable price compared to others I looked at.I bought it at Wal-Mart for $130
Things I like about the Remington Ghost Trail Cameras (G-L): The only thing I liked about the product was the mounting system. I thought the bracket and cable idea was a good one and since you can tilt the camera as well, that seemed like a great idea. The camera also seemed simple to set up. It was nice to get an SD card with the camera as well, but I thought it should have included the USB cable to connect it to my computer.
What I don't like about the Remington Ghost: I thought the camera's pictures were poor quality which surprised me considering the higher mega pixel rating. The color was really off in the daytime. I tried every way I could to get the infrared flash to work and all I got was totally black pictures with nothing in them. I also did not like that if I turned the power off for any time, I had to reset the clock when I turned in back on again. Remington ought to be ashamed to put their name on a piece of junk like this!
Trail Cameras (G-L) Ghost quality: Picture quality was poor in my opinion. I really didn't care for the overall quality of the way the unit was put together. I was concerned that I would break one of the plastic battery holders when I put the batteries in it. I know I didn't pay a lot for it, but it just seemed to be cheaply made.
Ghost summary: I was very disappointed with this camera. Remington makes some fine guns and I have one of their treestands and like it. They need to find someone else to make their trail cameras though. This will make be very weary of buying anything Remington makes in the trail camera line in the future. This one is a bust!!!
